(Downtown Dayton) during URBAN NIGHTS.
The most incredible event will take place at Urban Nights on
Friday May 16th! AND... you're invited!
The Rev. Cool will present a live broadcast of a MASSIVE DANCE
PARTY from 10PM to midnight.
Leading up to that event (from 8-10PM) there will be on-air
interviews of local movers & shakers mixed with the hottest tunes.
Representatives from the new Oregon Arts District, Urban Nights
and the Creative Class Task Force will stop by. But at 10 - when
the rest of Urban Nights rolls up with the streets of Dayton - the
real party will begin in the back of the PLAYTHINK LEARNING
STUDIOS (411 5th ST. - the Oregon Arts District).
Rev. Cool along with special guests Scorpius Max and the Rev. Cool
Temple Drummers and Arkestra will drive you to a multimedia
frenzy! DON'T MISS IT!
“I’m trying something completely refreshing and new with this live
broadcast”, says Rev. Cool. “Not only will I be doing my regular
selection of high energy beats from around the world but at the
live performance there will a crew of drummers and other musicians
to create the Rev, Cool Temple Drummers and Arkestra. Normally a
dj is added to a band to add effect and energy. I’ve turned the
whole concept on its head. In this live broadcast the Temple
Drummers and Arkestra will play live to the music being played on
the radio to contribute to the multi-media effect of Urban Nights.
In fact, as the live broadcast takes place in the rear of the
Playthink Studio there will be a colossal Jackson Pollock style
community painting being created. It will be a total happening.”
